Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis Support
    • Assist in conducting financial analysis and modeling to evaluate the financial performance and investment potential of self-storage properties.
    • Analyze historical and projected financial data, evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare financial analysis reports, and assist in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Data Management
    • Collect, organize, and maintain financial data from various sources.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity while adhering to established data management processes and procedures.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Assistance
    • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by assisting in the preparation of financial models, gathering data inputs, and performing variance analysis.
    • Contribute to the development of accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts.
  • Investment Research
    • Conduct research on potential acquisition and development opportunities in the self-storage industry.
    • Assist in analyzing market conditions, property valuations, and financial feasibility.
    • Contribute to the preparation of investment proposals and reports.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization
    • Analyze financial, operational, and marketing data using Excel and other relevant tools.
    • Present data and findings in a clear and concise manner through charts, graphs, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel Skills
    • Proficiency in using formulas and functions, including vlookup, hlookup, index & match, sumif, countif, subtotal, and text functions, etc.
    • Experience with analysis tools such as pivot tables, data validation, and chart creation is also essential.
  • SQL and Python Experience
    • Experience with querying, including select statements, filtering, aggregation (group by and having), table joins (inner, outer, left, and right), sorting (order by), and subqueries.
    • Experience in using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
  • Visualization Tools
    • Knowledge of tools like PowerBI and Tableau is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with experience using all three tools (Excel, SQL, and Python) will be highly preferred.
