Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Procurement Specialist to join our team at Ont inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for studying market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase. They will also be responsible for negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers, as well as overseeing the distribution of merchandise to outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets.
  • Provide customer service and review requirements of the establishment to determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on the latest products and trends.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a wholesale establishment or retail business.
  • Strong knowledge of database software and computer technology.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
