Job Summary

Champion Tire & Wheels Distribution Corp. is seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team. As a Wholesale Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing merchandise for resale, maintaining adequate stock levels, and establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay informed about market trends and supplier offerings.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of merchandise.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, supplier performance, and purchasing activities.
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or supply chain management.
  • Experience in wholesale buying or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in database software and other relevant tools.
