We are currently seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Queens Park Care Centre in New Westminster, BC. As a Full Scope LPN, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
About the Role
In this Casual LPN position, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients, assessing their needs, and developing individualized care plans. You will also participate in multidisciplinary care planning meetings, provide education to patients and families, and contribute to a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning meetings and provide education to patients and families.
- Contribute to a safe and clean environment, adhering to agency operating policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care.
- Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM, including administering medications.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
