Job Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious, goal-oriented individual who is motivated by a challenge. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing monthly site reviews, attending client meetings, and reviewing project documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly site reviews to ensure compliance with project agreements
  • Attend client meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns
  • Review project documentation, including design, construction, schedule, notices, correspondence, and cash flow documents
  • Prepare monthly reports on schedule, cash flow, and documentation received
  • Review monthly progress draw reviews and prepare construction progress payment certifications
  • Review commissioning plans and other documentation, and prepare commissioning reports
  • Prepare IC Quality Plans and Completion Plans
  • Assess deficiencies and price remaining deficiencies
  • Review documentation related to Substantial Completion Certificates and similar types of certificates
  • Prepare Completion Certificates and associated documentation
  • Prepare Certificates related to Legislative Holdback and Finishing Holdback
Requirements:
  • Excellent language skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and understand complex contracts and review a large volume of complex documentation monthly
  • Ability to provide high-quality, well-written reports
  • Travel to sites is required with your own vehicle
  • Experience in construction site review and/or construction experience, monitoring construction schedules, timelines, contract reviews, and project monitoring, report writing, reading correspondences, and applying to reports is desirable
  • Experience in Independent Certification, project management, review of contracts, payment certification, and in large buildings (hospitals, courthouses) and/or transportation projects (highways and light rapid transit) is an asset
  • Overall five to seven years' experience is required
  • Experience in the consulting field, in design or construction is preferred either in architecture, engineering, or cost consulting
  • A professional designation is required (Architect, P.Eng, CET, PQS, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of PC-based spreadsheets (MS Excel) and general computer skills are essential
