This position is responsible for overseeing the procurement and inventory management functions for a facility with a storeroom inventory of up to $2 million. The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience in implementing coordinated materials management approaches and optimizing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive materials management plan to ensure efficient procurement and inventory control.
- Monitor and analyze inventory usage and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and report on weekly and monthly spend for the site, including procurement and inventory costs.
- Coordinate the procurement process, including purchasing, receiving, and invoicing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of long-term supplier relationships and negotiate site-specific agreements as needed.
- Supervise storeroom staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal customers to meet their requirements for goods and services.
- 2-3 years of demonstrated procurement and supply chain management experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma skills and effective supervisory and management practices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong supplier and site relationships.
- Knowledge of effective materials management and inventory control practices.
- Ability to work in teams and operate a computer and supporting software.
- High school diploma required.
- Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field desirable.
