Retail Sales Associate Job Description

At Liquor On Trail, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Cash Register System: Accurately process sales transactions, handle cash and credit payments, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Stock Shelves and Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, faced, and rotated to meet customer needs and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Greet Customers and Provide Excellent Service: Offer warm welcomes, assist customers with questions and concerns, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Verify Age Restrictions: Politely check the age of customers purchasing age-restricted products, such as lottery tickets, alcohol, and tobacco, to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain Inventory Records: Accurately record inventory levels, track stock movements, and report any discrepancies to management to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent losses.
Work Environment:
  • Retail Business Setting: Work in a dynamic retail environment where no two days are the same, and you will be required to stand for long periods, walk, and bend to perform tasks.
Requirements:
  • Criminal Record Check: Pass a thorough background check to ensure you meet our high standards for honesty and integrity.
  • Own Transportation: Possess a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license to commute to work and potentially make deliveries.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver results.

Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per annum (dependent on experience and location).
