About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Hotel Receptionist at Alterra Mountain Company. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Process guest arrivals and departures, including check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Manage guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate hotel systems and software, including property management systems and point-of-sale systems.
  • Process transactions and handle guest payments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk.

Requirements

  • 6-12 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Knowledge of hotel systems and software, including property management systems and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
