Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team at GM TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR SERVICES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of welding and metalworking tasks, including fabricating and repairing metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and fit, braze and torch-straighten metal.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. The ability to sit, stand for extended periods, and manual dexterity are essential.
