Retail Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Global Pet Foods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of store staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stockroom personnel.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign sales workers to duties, including customer service, sales, and stockroom tasks.
- Authorize Payments and Orders: Authorize payments by cheque and order merchandise as needed.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for store staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and employee conflicts.
- Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and efficient stockroom operations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of retail management experience.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Accessibility Training: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Recruitment Policies: Applies accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster and supports them with foreign credential recognition and mentorship programs.
- Youth Support: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth and provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Veteran Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans and offers workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
- Indigenous Support: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Visible Minority Support: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
