We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at RBS Sons Truck and Trailers Works Ltd. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.



Job Description:
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks and trailers, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, making necessary adjustments or replacements to get vehicles back on the road efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality workmanship.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations to support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle history, repairs, and maintenance activities.


Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in a related field (e.g., heavy duty equipment technology).
  • Prior experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with commercial transport truck systems, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and customers.
