Education Assistant - District Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Assistant to join our team at School District #48 (Sea to Sky). As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and staff in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as organization and time management.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform duties that may require standing, walking, and lifting.
