Senior Data Scientist Job Description

Bombardier is a leading manufacturer of aircraft for the business aviation industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of our Digital Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and preprocess data from various sources, including SAP, Salesforce, and the Connected Aircraft Smart Link Plus box (IoT)
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to extract new insights and generate business value
  • Develop, train, validate, and monitor machine learning, statistical, and AI models to propel our Digital Portfolio
  • Plan and implement the Aftermarket Data Science and AI roadmap together with product managers, product owners, business analysts, and UI/UX designers
  • Collaborate with data and MLOps engineers to ensure successful productionization of models
  • Conduct literature reviews and competitive intelligence on AI-powered digital products and services tailored to the business aviation industry
Requirements:
  • Experience deploying big data analytics in the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade, fully productionized MLOps pipelines
  • Experience with time-series data, particularly telemetry (sensor-based) data
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and aircraft systems (asset)
  • Master of Python and its ecosystem of machine learning libraries
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (asset)
