About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. As a key member of our Digital Portfolio, you will play a crucial role in driving business value through data-driven insights and machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and preprocess data from various sources, including SAP, Salesforce, and the Connected Aircraft Smart Link Plus box (IoT)
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to extract new insights and generate business value
  • Develop, train, validate, and monitor machine learning, statistical, and AI models to propel our Digital Portfolio
  • Collaborate with data and MLOps engineers to ensure successful productionization of models
  • Work closely with aircraft system engineers, technical specialists, and field service representatives to develop a state-of-the-art Predictive Maintenance solution
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience deploying big data analytics in the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade, fully productionized MLOps pipelines
  • Experience with time-series data, particularly telemetry (sensor-based) data
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and aircraft systems
  • Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem of machine learning libraries
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (asset)
