Job SummaryThe Medical Specialist will provide expert medical care to patients, act as consultants to other physicians, and order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions
- Act as consultants to other physicians, providing expert advice and guidance on complex medical cases
- Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, such as X-rays and other imaging studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication and other interventions, to manage medical conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Completion of a residency program in internal medicine or a related field
- Licensure to practice medicine in the province or territory
- Specialty certification in internal medicine or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
