About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Alder Concrete Group Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality construction standards are met on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools and ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, working collaboratively with other tradespeople to achieve project goals.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter with Alder Concrete Group Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to work outdoors and in various locations, including commercial, industrial, institutional and residential settings.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
