Job Summary

The Village Children's Programs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development to create personalized learning plans.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support children's growth.
  • Assist in carrying out programs that promote children's development.
  • Lead activities, such as storytelling, singing, and outings.
  • Engage children in activities, including crafts and storytelling.
  • Guide children in developing proper habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the toilet.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with coworkers and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe environment for children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other educators and assistants.
Requirements
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
