About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at John Wood Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering process engineering deliverables and tasks with minimal guidance and direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement process simulations and heat and material balances.
  • Conduct process equipment and line sizing, and optimize process control strategy to support PFD and P&ID development.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and interface with clients.
  • Complete conceptual studies through to detail engineering stages within timeline and budget.
  • Supervise a team of process engineers, providing support and guidance to junior and intermediate process engineers.
  • Perform checking of all process engineering deliverables in accordance with industry codes, standards, and guidelines, and client specifications.
  • Conduct regular reporting, scheduling, resource planning, and coordination with workshare offices.
  • Stay up-to-date on technical skills and new technologies in the industry.
Requirements:
  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with PEO.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in refining, petrochemicals, or oil & gas industries.
  • Proficient in HYSYS and/or ProMax.
  • Strong client-facing skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals.
  • Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Able to coordinate with team members in other workshare offices.
  • PHA experience required.
