The Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking a System Assurance (SA)/RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety) Engineer to join our Rail Systems Engineering team. Reporting to the Director, this position will be responsible for undertaking railway (commuter rail, light rail and heavy rail) projects to ensure the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of rail systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement system assurance and RAMS strategies to ensure the reliability and safety of rail systems
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards to develop mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design and safety cases
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams to ensure the delivery of safe and reliable rail systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in system assurance and RAMS, with experience in the rail industry. You will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
