The Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking a System Assurance (SA)/RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety) Engineer to join our Rail Systems Engineering team. Reporting to the Director, this position will be responsible for undertaking railway (commuter rail, light rail and heavy rail) projects, ensuring the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of rail systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement system assurance and RAMS strategies to ensure the reliability and safety of rail systems
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards to ensure the safety of passengers and staff
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system design and testing strategies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge of rail systems and system assurance
  • Experience in developing and implementing system assurance and RAMS strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
