We are seeking a highly skilled Field Technician to join our Soils and Materials Team at Englobe. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional client service and work collaboratively with our team to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct on-site field testing of soil compaction, asphalt compaction, and concrete properties.
  • Perform inspections, including rebar and proof-rolling, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed field reports documenting equipment used, test locations, and results.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to the development of our team.
  • Assist with laboratory testing and equipment calibration as needed.
Requirements
  • Technical Diploma in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • More than 2 years of experience in highway materials, construction materials sampling and testing, and inspection.
  • CCIL or ACI certification (asset).
  • Familiarity with OPSS specifications relating to concrete, asphalt, and soil compaction.
  • Ability to handle samples up to 25kg of materials regularly.
  • Valid Ontario G Driver's License and a personal vehicle in good condition.
  • Demonstrated interest and sensitivity towards occupational health and safety.
