Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Decision Support Analyst Intern to join our team at St. Joseph's Care Group. As a Decision Support Analyst Intern, you will assist the team in developing reporting and data analytic solutions that meet management information needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of reporting and data analytic solutions using Excel and other tools.
  • Work closely with the Decision Support Services team to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support reporting and analytics.
  • Provide data visualization and insights to support business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Information Management, Health Administration, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Assets:

  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.

Condition of Employment:

  • This position is conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated.
  • Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the policy or proof of valid medical exemption.

NOHFC Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career, or unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.
  • Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Candidate must reside and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
