As a Clinical Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing clinical support, mentoring, and guidance to social workers, human relations officers, and community workers in the care of individuals with complex disability profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support and mentoring to social workers, human relations officers, and community workers in the care of individuals with complex disability profiles.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and best practices for the care of individuals with complex disability profiles.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and training to social workers, human relations officers, and community workers on clinical best practices and evidence-based interventions.
  • Conduct regular clinical assessments and provide recommendations for individualized care plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of care.

Requirements:

  • University degree in social work.
  • Four (4) years of pertinent experience in clinical social work or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge to mentor and train social workers, human relations officers, and community workers.
  • Knowledge and experience with ADHD, ASD, and other neurodivergent differences.
  • Good understanding of psychosocial issues and First Nations culture and issues that affect individuals, families, and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous, discrete, and empathetic.
  • Capable of working in a multi-team environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to different audiences (professionals, families, youth).

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
