We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Chartwell Cité-Jardin. As a Medical Orderly, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work under pressure. You will be responsible for serving meal trays, maintaining inventory of supplies, and assisting patients with daily tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, with a college diploma or equivalent experience in a related field. You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients: Provide nutritious meals and snacks to patients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies: Ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked and organized, and that equipment is properly maintained.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients: Assist patients with daily hygiene and grooming tasks, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs: Respond promptly to patients' requests, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations: Provide basic first aid and emergency care as required, following established protocols and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Education: College diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient care and support.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift, bend, and move patients with care and precision.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
