About the Role:

Delfresh Mushroom Farm Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Crop Services Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm, ensuring the highest quality of crops, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain our vertical farming system to ensure optimal crop yields and quality.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Maintain accurate financial and production records to inform business decisions.
  • Negotiate with clients to provide agricultural crop services, including plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain quality control and production records to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations to ensure optimal crop yields and quality.
  • Maintain work records and logs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Hire and train staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Perform general farm duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in agricultural crop services or a related field.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a rural area with staff accommodation provided.
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding work in a dusty, hot, and outdoors environment.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking required.
