About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Operations Manager to join our team at 2163690 Alberta Limited. As a key member of our baking department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development and Quality Control
    • Develop and implement new recipes and product lines to meet customer demands and preferences
    • Conduct regular taste tests and quality control checks to ensure that all products meet our high standards
  • Team Management and Training
    • Supervise and train a team of bakers and pastry chefs to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to produce high-quality products
    • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to help them improve their performance
  • Inventory Management and Supply Chain
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that we are getting the best possible prices and service
  • Customer Service and Sales
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and preferences
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and grow our customer base
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a bakery or related field
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and management skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of baking and pastry arts
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
