We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to carpentry and construction.

Job Summary:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $34.65 per hour, paid bi-weekly, plus 4% vacation pay. Benefits include a healthcare plan after three months of employment.

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of this position is to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Additionally, you will prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

  • You will build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • You must be able to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment.
  • You will assess situations and identify potential hazards.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You must also be physically fit and able to perform tasks that require standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
