About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve their skills and performance.
    • Establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.
    • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure they are clean, safe, and in good working order.
    • Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies to meet kitchen needs.
    • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen performance, inventory, and other relevant metrics.
    • Maintain accurate records of kitchen operations, including inventory, supplies, and staff performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
    • Standing for extended periods.
    • Walking.
