We are seeking a highly skilled 421A Mechanic to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our heavy machinery and equipment used in metal recycling operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshooting: Identify issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and troubleshoot problems to determine the best course of action for repair or replacement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair tasks efficiently, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and log work performed.
- Certification: Possess a valid 421A certification.
- Experience: Have previous experience as a 421A Mechanic, preferably in a metal recycling environment.
- Skillset: Demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and be proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues.
