We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Taste of Szechuan. This is an entry-level position that requires no prior experience, making it perfect for those looking to kick-start their career in the culinary industry.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen space. This includes cleaning and sanitizing items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, loading buspans and trays, placing dishes in storage areas, and keeping records of food quantities used. You will also assist with packaging take-out food, washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain the kitchen space to ensure a high level of hygiene and organization.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Loading buspans and trays, and placing dishes in storage areas.
  • Keeping records of food quantities used.
  • Assisting with packaging take-out food.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
