Innovative R&D Director for Cosmetic Innovation

Great Connections Employment Services is seeking an accomplished R&D Innovation Director to spearhead innovation in the cosmetic and skincare manufacturing industry.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will lead a team of formulation experts to develop cutting-edge solutions, driving business growth through innovative strategies and technological advancements.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and execute large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Identify short-term and mid-term lip strategy and create an innovation pipeline for business and organizational growth.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments in colour makeup, particularly anhydrous systems, and translate consumer insights into creative and stable formulations.
- Promote creativity and innovation, focusing on areas of high potential.
- Lead scientific approach formulation and assessment, including the development of new technology platforms, testing methodologies, and technical characterization.
- BUILD collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organization and establish strong connections with senior leaders within the company.
- Work proactively, collaborate effectively with others, maintain attention to detail, and possess excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, as well as presentation and relationship-building skills.
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree; an MBA or Advanced scientific degree (Masters, PhD) is highly preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in R&D development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and/or programs in a dynamic environment.
- Direct and/or indirect product development experience, particularly in roles focused on advancing and optimizing formulation/product portfolios, development processes, and methods.
- Extensive experience in aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and communicating information to enable leaders to have transparency on underlying issues and potential solutions in various settings, including workshops, small group sessions, or one-on-one meetings.
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
