IT Audit Specialist

The IT Audit Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of Northbridge Financial Corporation's IT operations. This position is responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and consulting activity to add value and improve the Company's IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing annual SOX plans pertaining to internal controls over business and financial systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Collaborating with IT governance in updating process documentation and control descriptions
  • Reviewing and updating IT audit test plans to ensure key risks are addressed
  • Completing testing of IT controls, including preparation of working papers outlining test plans, fieldwork, and documentation of outcomes
  • Leading IT operational audits to examine the efficiency and effectiveness of processes to mitigate key IT risks as outlined in the Internal Audit Plan
  • Maintaining quality of audit processes and documentation in accordance with the IPPF
Requirements:
  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT auditing
  • Completion of CISA certification
  • Professional certifications, such as CIA, CISSP, or CISM, are a plus
  • Strong knowledge of the IPPF and COBIT or similar frameworks
  • Working knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
