**Job Title:** Store Operations Manager

**Location:** Greater Toronto Area

About the Role:

The Store Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving store performance, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering a superior shopping experience for customers. Reporting to the Store Manager, this key position oversees various aspects of store operations, including sales growth, staffing, merchandising, expense control, health and safety protocols, and team development.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Growth and Performance Management: Assist the Store Manager in achieving or exceeding weekly, period, and fiscal year store goals and objectives, including sales, profit, margin targets, shrink targets, and labor targets.
  2. Merchandising and Inventory Management: Work with the Store Manager to implement various merchandising programs, procedures, and processes designed to maximize operational efficiencies and profitability.
  3. Staffing and Team Development: Provide leadership by hiring, training, directing, and developing a staff that is customer-focused. Ensure that all actions and events portray a customer-friendly shopping environment.
  4. Health and Safety: Ensure the store is maintained in accordance with all health and safety regulations as established by Metro and regulatory authorities.
  5. Operational Excellence: Actively participate in store-based initiatives designed to enhance community involvement and the store's image as a supporter of community activities.
  6. Vendor Relations: Create and maintain a strong working relationship with vendors and union business representatives.

Requirements:

  • Education: College or University education
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years progressive management experience
  • Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, good business acumen, strong communication and organizational skills, strong leadership skills, and strong time management skills
