Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team at WestCana Services. As a Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing nutritional care plans, conducting resident and family nutrition awareness sessions, and collaborating with the multi-disciplinary care planning team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review menus and perform audits to ensure nutritional requirements are met
  • Observe meal delivery, check food quality, and advise Food Services
  • Develop documentation and reporting systems for nutritional assessments and compliance
  • Provide clinical dietetic support to the care planning team
  • Conduct resident and family nutrition awareness sessions
  • Communicate best practices for conserving and minimizing product use

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Clinical Food and Nutrition approved by Dietitians of Canada
  • Member in good standing of the College of Dietitians and Dietitians of Canada
  • Completion of a 1-year Dietetic Internship Program
  • Two years' recent, related experience
  • Possession of Liability Insurance and Reserved Act A for tube feeding
  • Holds and maintains Valid Food Safe Certificate Level 1
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written
