Associate Professor of Health Equity

About the Opportunity:
The University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream faculty position in the area of Health Equity at the rank of Associate Professor. This is a joint appointment between the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) and Public Health Sciences (PHS) in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in the area of Health Equity, with a focus on reducing health inequities and improving health outcomes for marginalized populations.
- Teach introductory and upper-level courses in Health Equity, including courses related to qualitative and mixed-methods research.
- Develop and maintain a competitive and externally funded research program, with a focus on building research capacity in Health Equity.
- Contribute to the graduate educational programs in IHPME and PHS, and participate in departmental and university service.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or doctoral equivalent in a field related to Health Equity.
- Expert knowledge in Health Equity, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching.
- Experience working with marginalized populations and a commitment to community-driven research excellence.
- Strong teaching and research skills, with a focus on building research capacity in Health Equity.
