About the Role

Cambrian Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Wealth Management Team as a Manager, Wealth & Advisory Services. This key leadership role will provide direct leadership to the Wealth & Advisory Services Support team and Wealth Solutions Centre, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Wealth & Advisory Services Support team and Wealth Solutions Centre, driving business growth and excellence.
  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of department staff, ensuring timely training and development.
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture team to recruit and select top talent for the Wealth & Advisory Services Support team and Wealth Solutions Centre.
  • Develop and implement training plans for all advisors, ensuring regulatory standards and expectations are maintained.
  • Monitor Referral Tracking and provide regular updates to the Director, Sales Enablement and VP, Wealth & Advisory Services.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentoring to W&A Sales & Support Services Specialists and Wealth Solutions Centre staff.
  • Work collaboratively with Aviso and Cambrian teams to provide smooth and timely solutions for complex processes.
  • Lead Cambrian's Wealth & Advisory Services Annual KYC compliance program, monitoring and holding WSSS accountable for fulfilling and completing proactive investor calls.
  • Support the Director, Sales Enablement and VP, Wealth & Advisory Services as needed, undertaking tasks or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum education level of Grade 12 or equivalent, with post-secondary education considered an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years demonstrated proficiency in retail financial services, including sales leadership, with success in the service of wealth management services.
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada in good standing or competing within 12 months.
  • Creative thinker/problem solver with a client-centered approach and strong drive to continuously improve and add value to the business.
  • Ability to work well in an environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
  • Critical thinker who analyzes information and uses logic to address issues, problems, and challenges.
