Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at World Courier of Canada Ltd.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position with a competitive estimated salary of $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and knowledge of the metropolitan area.
  • As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for picking up and delivering goods safely and efficiently.
  • You will also ensure that required paperwork is completed by customers or consignees, use initiative to anticipate problems with deliveries, and keep Dispatch Officers informed of progress and any delays.
  • Frequent weekend work may be required, but this can be adjusted based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver goods as requested
  • Ensure required paperwork is completed by customer/consignee
  • Use initiative and anticipate problems that may occur with deliveries
  • Keep Dispatch Officer informed of progress of deliveries and any delays
  • Drive safely and take care of company vehicles
  • Maintain abundant stock of packaging materials and labels
  • Be prepared to work overtime during busy times

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Good driving record
  • Knowledge of the metropolitan area
  • Pleasant and proactive manner with customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
