Job Title: Community Service Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Service Worker to join our team at NEXUS Community Support Society.

Job Summary:

The Community Service Worker will provide support and services to individuals and families in our community, focusing on education, experience, and health benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of community needs and be able to work effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide education and support to individuals and families on various topics, including education and experience.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of programs and services that meet the needs of the community.
  • Work collaboratively with community partners to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and program activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • Experience an asset.
