PARC Retirement Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Summerhill PARC in North Vancouver. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance activities, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.

About the Role

  • Perform maintenance services such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs within established timeframes.
  • Help ensure the overall safety and cleanliness of the building.
  • Respond to residents' maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with suite preparation for turnover, including carpet cleaning and painting.
  • Support the Building Services Manager as needed, including responding to emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Pleasant and upbeat professional with a high school diploma and a minimum of three years' relevant experience in the hotel or senior-living industry.
  • Successfully completed WHMIS and possess a Facility Management or Class 5 Power Engineering certification.
  • Background in plumbing, electrical, heating, painting, basic carpentry, and janitorial work, as well as with building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Critical thinker who is responsive and priority-sensitive, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

We require all new hires to be fully vaccinated as approved by Health Canada and to undergo a Criminal Record Check and TB test within the first month of employment.
