About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Express. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of sales strategies, maintaining a positive work environment, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business results
- Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration
- Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of daily store operations, including sales floor coverage and merchandise flow
- Manage the execution of store strategies to achieve performance goals
- Optimize sales and operations opportunities by leading associates in executing merchandising strategies and operations
- Support a store environment focused on delivering a great in-store experience
- Lead by example in creating a culture of proactive customer engagement
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of relevant job experience
- Proficient in use of technology, including iPads and registers
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills
- Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours
