Foodco is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support.
- Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- Work in a kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands.
- Work a standard 35-hour week, with occasional overtime as required.
- Be willing to travel, with own transportation, and participate in training and development opportunities.
English is the primary language of communication, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
