Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our Power System Studies team. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for building and managing a team to support study projects internationally and growing the practice of Power System Studies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in power system studies, including power flow and dynamic stability studies, and experience with PSSE and other power system analysis software. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership on system studies projects, including interface with clients, directing work of system studies team, and preparation of final report.
  • Provide technical support to projects, including all aspects of project delivery, including developing study methodology, optimizing delivery of services, and preparation of final review and reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring that high-quality project deliverables are delivered in a timely manner, to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Perform power system studies, including but not limited to power flow and stability studies, ranging from transmission planning, load and generation interconnection, integration of renewables, distribution network optimization, etc.
  • Prepare simulation study cases for power flow and short-circuit analysis, transient and dynamic simulations, as well as EMTP studies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, PhD preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng and/or PE) required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as an electrical engineer, with focus on power system studies.
