About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our electrical design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various projects, including heavy industrial and mining projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical single line diagrams, AC control schematics, wiring distribution schemes, and panel schedules.
  • Develop cable block diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, and design physical layouts of electrical equipment.
  • Perform arc flash calculations and label preparation, and work on reports.
  • Design and develop electric heat tracing systems, and perform drafting/drawing tasks using AutoCAD.
  • Ensure designs comply with the Canadian Electrical Code.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGM.
  • 10+ years' experience in electrical consulting, industrial, or construction industries, with experience in heavy industrial and/or mining projects beneficial.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, PLC programming, and knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license, and excellent written and oral English communication skills.
