About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Vans Group Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing water and waste management systems, conducting technical analyses, and ensuring construction plans meet building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Plan and design water and waste management systems, including the development of construction specifications and procedures.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct technical analyses of survey and field data to determine project requirements, and prepare reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Project Coordination: Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team to determine project requirements, and conduct research to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations, and establish and monitor construction work schedules.
  • Material Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials for projects.
  • Survey and Design Review: Interpret, review, and approve survey and civil design work.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in water and waste management systems.
  • Certifications: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
