Experienced Maintenance Technician

Linamar Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing regular machine maintenance as stated in the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Performing Predictive Maintenance.
- Providing direction in troubleshooting and repair; overseeing junior mechanics.
- Maintaining good employee relations and working as a team player.
- Complying with TS 16949 Procedures/Systems.
- Performing housekeeping and light maintenance of quality assurance work areas.
- Using specialized measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, angle finders, feeler gauges, and dial indicators.
- Evaluating the condition of parts and equipment.
- Evaluating the performance of major systems and plant equipment.
- Assessing the feasibility of designs for small modifications to equipment and machinery.
- Discussing work orders, equipment malfunctions, and job task coordination with coworkers.
- Developing and implementing simple projects.
- Evaluating and selecting outside contractors.
- Performing supervisor tasks when needed.
Requirements include:
- A high school diploma or equivalent general experience.
- Licensure as an IMM (Millwright) or equivalent working experience.
- A minimum of two years of skilled maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and understand all codes and regulations (H&S, Electrical).
- Knowledge of TS 16949 and related procedures.
- Knowledge of different controllers (Fanuc, Siemens).
- Able to use computer-assisted design, manufacturing, and machining, such as AutoCAD.
