Position Summary

The Bookkeeper will manage and maintain accurate financial records for Ritz Cabinets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing essential financial information to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, keeping accurate records and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized systems.
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Post journal entries and prepare various statistical, financial, and accounting reports, including tax returns and trial balances.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, conducting regular audits and reconciliations as needed.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage Accounting Software and manage data using MS Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite (Excel).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
