We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization, the John Howard Society of Belleville, in its mission to provide community programs, services, and education to those affected by the criminal justice system.
About UsThe John Howard Society of Belleville is a non-profit, social service agency dedicated to serving individuals and families, youth and adults, across the Region. We offer evidence-based programs and services focused on prevention, intervention, and reintegration.
Job SummaryThe Executive Director will provide leadership, vision, and strategic oversight of the agency's diverse operations. This includes expanding our range of services to meet the complex needs of our clients and the community, while strengthening, deepening, and broadening the impact of current programs and services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization
- Develop and implement effective operational plans and policies
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders
- Oversee program delivery and ensure proper performance management and impact reporting
- Manage the organization's finances, assets, and resources
- Establish a positive, healthy, inclusive, diverse, and safe work environment
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team
We are seeking a candidate with a degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of experience in a senior executive and leadership role in the not-for-profit or public sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in community and neighborhood engagement, budget development, and financial management.
