About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization, the John Howard Society of Belleville, in its mission to provide community programs, services, and education to those affected by the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the agency's operations, ensuring alignment with our vision, mission, and strategic directions.
  • Develop and implement effective programs and services that meet the complex needs of our clients and the community.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, including community partners, government officials, and media.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive work environment, reflecting our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a senior executive and leadership role in the non-profit or public sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of budget development, monitoring, and reporting processes.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in community and neighborhood engagement within diverse communities.
  • Advance computer skills, including Google Workspace and HRIS.
