Job Summary

BFG Enterprise Services is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Corner Brook/Deer Lake. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our customers across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and services to customers, including connectivity and hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Identify and repair hardware issues in a POS environment, including replacing scanners, scales, pin pads, printers, and workstations.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify operations and maintain required quality levels, documenting work performed.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and organized work area, observing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Travel and Availability: Travel to customer sites on short notice, working rotational shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, as well as rotational stand-by and on-calls.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum university degree with a major in information technology or a related program.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in IT field services, with broad exposure to various software and hardware technologies.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Skills: Proficient computer skills, solid knowledge of computer networking, and ability to operate hand and power tools.

  • Communication and Prioritization: Excellent prioritizing and communication skills.
  • Travel and Availability: Ability to travel to customers' sites on short notice, working rotational shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, as well as rotational stand-by and on-calls.
