About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Environmental Services to join our team at Schlegel Villages. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and directing our environmental services department to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the environmental services department to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and team members.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Teach team members how to safely handle potentially hazardous materials and facilitate regular fire drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Director of Environmental Services role and provide support and guidance to team members as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with shift scheduling, department spending, and budget management.
  • Skills in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and auditing and evaluating safety measures and procedures.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
  • Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and provide exceptional customer service to our residents.
